Wing of an Air India’s Dreamliner hits a building at Stockholm; two pilots de-rostered.

Air India’s flight AI167, operated by Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, was headed to Stockholm- Arlanda Airport, Sweden (ARN/ESSA) from New Delhi- Indira Gandhi International Airport, India (DEL/VIDP). The aircraft carried a total of 179 passengers.

According to Flight Radar 24, on Wednesday, November 28th, the aircraft scheduled to take off from VIDP at 02:20 took off 20 mins after schedule & made it to Stockholm at 5:45 local time, 15 minutes after schedule, after a 07:21 hrs long flight from home.

After making it down into Stockholm, the aircraft was taxiing towards its gate while the left wing of the aircraft reported to be hit against a wall of a building.

An Air India official reported that, the damage to the aircraft is being assessed while there have been no injuries to the passengers & all the passengers disembarked safely.

In addition, Air India reported that the airline has de-rostered the two pilots who were flying the plane and launched a probe.
