Routes News - June 17, 2018

This week in Routes News:

-Starting July 4, Air Canada will be utilizing it's Boeing 777-200LR three times a week to San Francisco, from Toronto. Operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the 777 will fly with the following schedule:
AC737 YYZ 08:00-10:35 SFO / AC738 SFO 12:00-22:00 YYZ
-From July 7, Until August 25, AeroMexico Connect will be offering once weekly services from Monterrey to Orlando. The carrier's Embraer E190 will serve the route on Saturdays, with the following schedule:
AM2680 MTY 09:00-13:15 MCO / AM2679 MCO 14:30-16:40 MTY
-From August 11, Frontier Airlines will be discontinuing it's service connecting Cincinnati, with Phoenix. The service currently operates four times a week on board the carrier's Airbus A321 aircraft.
-From September 5, Spirit Airlines will no longer be flying it's once daily service between Dallas' Fort Worth Airport and Boston's Logan Airport. Spirit's Airbus A320 will fly the route until it gets cut.
-Starting October 28, Etihad will be replacing Airbus A321 aircraft with company Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners on one of the airline's four daily services to Cairo, Egypt. This daily service operates with the following schedule:
EY653 AUH 09:35-11:45 CAI / EY654 CAI 13:35-18:50 AUH
-Also starting October 28, Air France will be increasing it's weekly prescence in Rio de Janeiro from seven, to ten weekly flights. The additional three weekly services from Paris, will operate with Air France's Boeing 777-200 aircraft. These additional frequencies will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with the following schedule:
AF462 CDG 10:25-18:55 GIG / AF467 GIG 22:05-12:15+1 CDG
-From October 28, Air Canada will be cutting it's Calgary to Tokyo service for the winter season. The flight will resume after March 29, 2019, for next year's summer season. This winter the company's Boeing 767-300 was set to operate the route three times a week.
-Starting October 31, Norwegian is going to launch flights connecting Madrid, with Fort Lauderdale. The company's fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners will be given the task of flying this route. This service will depart Orlando on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a next day return from Madrid. Scheduling for this route looks like the following:
DY7753 MAD 13:10-16:45 FLL / DY7752 FLL 19:45-08:50+1 MAD
-Starting December 1, Emirates will be increasing it's weekly frequency to Angola's capital, from five flights a week, to daily service. Emirates' Boeing 777-300 will fly to Luanda daily, with the following schedule:
EK793 DXB 10:10-15:10 LAD / EK794 LAD 18:15-04:55+1 DXB
-From December 19, Air Canada Rouge will not resume it's winter-seasonal flights from Vancouver to Orlando. This season's twice weekly service was set to operate from December 19 to February 24, on board Airbus A319 aircraft.
