This week in Routes News:

  • Beginning June 14, Mexico's Interjet will be replacing it's service from Mexico City (MEX) to Orlando Sandford (SFB), with service to Orlando International (MCO) from Mexico City (MEX). The service will be increased from four-weekly to daily. The flight will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft with the following schedule:
    4O2880 MEX 10:00-14:35 MCO / 4O2881 MCO 15:30-18:05 MEX

  • Beginning July 9, Korean Air will be replacing its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the airline's Seoul (ICN) to San Francisco (SFO) route. The flight will operate with the following schedule:
    KE025 ICN 20:00-15:00 SFO / KE026 SFO 00:10-04:20+1 ICN

  • Beginning July 12, China Southern will commence operations on a new route between Sanya (SYX) and London (LHR). Airbus A330-200 aircraft will operate the route on Thursdays and Sundays, with the following schedule:
    CZ651 SYX 13:15-18:45 LHR / CZ652 LHR 22:10-16:00+1 SYX

  • Beginning July 13, China Southern will be resuming service to Singapore (SIN) from Shenzhen (SZX). The route was last served in May 1997 with Boeing 757-200 aircraft. This time around, Airbus A321 aircraft will serve the route daily with the following schedule:
    CZ8499 SZX 22:10-02:10+1 SIN / CZ8500 SIN 03:20-06:55 SZX

  • Beginning October 1, Delta Air Lines (Delta Connection) will be connecting Salt Lake City (SLC) with El Paso (ELP). The service will be operated daily with Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft, on the following schedule:
    DL4881 SLC 20:05-22:25 ELP / DL4997 ELP 08:15-10:15 SLC

  • Beginning October 28, Delta Air Lines will be discontinuing its daily service that connects Orlando (MCO) with Miami (MIA). The airline's Airbus A320 aircraft will be flying the route until its termination.

  • Beginning March 31, 2019; Delta Air Lines will be replacing Boeing 777-200LR aircraft with Airbus A350 aircraft on the company's Atlanta (ATL) to Tokyo (NRT) route. The daily service will operate with the following schedule:
    DL295 ATL 11:44-14:35+1 NRT / DL296 NRT 16:30-16:11 ATL

  • Beginning November 3, United Airlines (United Express) will be connecting Chicago O'Hare (ORD) with Brownsville (BRO). Embraer E175 aircraft will serve the route once a week—on Saturdays—with the following schedule:
    UA5995 ORD 09:00-12:29 BRO / UA5995 BRO 13:30-16:35 ORD

  • Beginning December 15, Air Canada Rouge will be changing frequency and aircraft on the company's Montreal (YUL) to Barbados (BGI) route. Boeing 767-300ER will be taking over from Airbus A319 which served the route this past winter season. Overall, the weekly flights for the next winter season will decrease to three weekly from four. This coming winter, the flight will operate on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the following schedule:
    AC1724 YUL 07:40-13:50 BGI / AC1725 BGI 15:10-19:50 YUL

  • Beginning May 2, 2019, Thomas Cook will be connecting Manchester (MAN) with Comiso (CIY), Italy. The company's Airbus A320 will be operating the route on Thursdays only, with the following schedule:
    MT1270 MAN 05:40-10:05 CIY / MT1271 CIY 11:05-13:45 MAN
